Event Planning - Kappa Alpha Theta

As the Human Resources Director, I coordinated logistics for various sorority events, managing venue selection, budgeting, catering, and decorating while ensuring expenses remained within budget.

I worked directly with vendors and catering teams to organize Parent’s Weekend and Mom’s Weekend, creating memorable experiences for attendees. Additionally, I led and planned a New Member Retreat for 110 members at an off-site campground, designing activities that fostered bonding and connection in a fun, welcoming environment.

Beyond large-scale events, I also planned smaller weeknight gatherings at the sorority house, such as a Valentine’s Night, painting taper candles and bouquet making. I focused on enhancing member engagement through creative and social activities.
